Materialising the commodity chain: the surplus & loss in production |
The destruction of excess: burning, burial & decay, and reincarnation |
| Project 1: From Hartlepool to Chittagong: the life & death of ships |
Project 3: Steel: materials transformations and the pressures of globalising markets |
Project 5: European technologies of waste management: a material culture approach |
| Project 2: The nuclear waste economy: (im)mobility, risk & materials science |
Project 4: Phd Projects on various aspects of food waste |
Project 6: Mutilation & mutability: the destruction of clothing in India & its reclamation |
Projects are both strand-specific in their rationale and cross-cutting, in that they all contribute to the over-arching aims of the programme. Further details regarding the strands can be found by following the links from this page.
