Conversations

‘Conversations’ is our in-house academic discussion forum. Drawing on the traditions of publishing in other fields, we post here ongoing ‘work-in-progress’ from within our programme. ‘Conversations’ includes both working papers and an accompanying contextual commentary written by the author/authors. We provide this in full acknowledgement that it both helps to know something of the background to why and how certain pieces come to be written and to give a sense of the on-going intellectual development of our programme. The papers uploaded here are working papers. Many will have been prepared for workshops and as a stimulus for discussion. If you would like to join the conversation and/or are interested in coming along to future workshops and events, please get in touch with us. Standard referencing criteria should be followed if you wish to cite these works:

E.g. Hudson R (2008) Material matters: taking cultural political economy to the next level. The Waste of the World Working Paper Number 1. Available via: http://www.thewasteoftheworld.org (date accessed/downloaded).

Before citing though, please contact the relevant author/s for permission. Should papers subsequently be published in other outlets, details of the revised availability will be posted.
